Angella Whitton’s manuscripts have been selected for the:

* Varuna Publisher Introduction Fellowship 2019 (The Night River); and the

* Queensland Writer’s Centre / Hachette Australia Manuscript Development Program 2015 (The Night River).

Her short story collection (Other Gods) was shortlisted for the Carmel Bird Digital Literary Award 2020.

Her personal essay (Missives to my Grandmother) was shortlisted for creative non fiction category of the Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Writing 2020.

Her short story (Out to Sea) was shortlisted for the Victoria University Overland Short Story Prize 2019.

She studied writing at UNSW and the University of Sydney.

She lives in Western Sydney (Darug land).

She likes tea, art, travel, libraries and rivers.
