Angella Whitton’s stories have been published in Westerly, the Australian Women’s Weekly and Visible Ink. She won a $5,000 prize in the Penguin / Australian Women’s Weekly Short Story Contest. Her story Out to Sea was shortlisted for the Victoria University Overland Short Story Prize 2019.
Her manuscripts were selected for the Varuna Publisher Introduction Fellowship 2019 and the Queensland Writer’s Centre / Hachette Australia Manuscript Development Program in 2015. She has studied writing at the University of Sydney and UNSW.
On her holidays, she has walked with lions and swum with stingrays. She likes tea, art, Japan, libraries and rivers.
